Racing EVENTS
ADULT SKI & SNOWBOARD RACE LEAGUE
AT THUNDER RIDGE, ROUTE 22, PATTERSON, NY
I'm pleased to announce that the ADULT SKI & SNOWBOARD RACE LEAGUE is back for another season and everyone is invited to participate. A new format is being offered this season and it is expected to be a huge success. There will be Head-to-Head Dual Racing, Video Tape Coaching, Theme Nights and a buffet and beverages available after the race. The cost will be $20.00 and this will include your lift ticket and race fee (the race fee will be paid by the club). It all begins on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 and will continue for at least 6 consecutive Tuesday nights. Registration will be at 6:30 pm and racing should begin about 7:30 pm. The Season Finale will be the annual President's Race on Mach 19, 2005 presented by the New Jersey Ski Council (NJSC) at Hunter Mountain. Anyone who has ever participated in this event can attest to its success. This race is open to all HVSC members and children are also allowed to participate. Further details about this event will appear in upcoming newsletters and announced at future meetings. These are all ON-SNOW events (unlike Friday Night Race Training) and open to all levels of skiers and boarders from beginners to experts. All HVSC members are invited and encouraged to participate. It is a great opportunity to meet and ski with some of your fellow club members while improving your skiing skills and technique. This weekly event is meant to be FUN, so come on out and enjoy the thrills and spills that racing has to offer. In the event Mother Nature does not cooperate, we may change locations to Catamount, Hillsdale, NY where racing is held on Wednesday nights |
